Painting

AJ and I have been bus painting our main floor and office for the past two weekends.  AJ finally finished painting on Sunday.  We still have some touchups to do on the baseboards as well as the ceilings but AJ will get to that soon.  We are planning on painting the powder room, stairs and our room but we are taking a break until we begin those next projects.

The den is painted a green color.

Our accent wall in a blue color.  It definitely brightens up the room.  

The rest of the wall color is painted a coffee color.  Here is AJ playing his video game.  This is all he ever does in his spare time!!!

It's been a while...

AJ and I figured that we need to start updating our blog more. I believe the last time we updated our blog was 8 months ago. A lot has happened since that time. Two of the biggest things that have happened is that we got married in August and then bought a townhouse in October.

I tried uploading pictures this morning of our wedding, townhouse as well as some other things, however, it is not allowing me to do so. AJ is at work right now, so I am going to see if he can get it to work for me when he gets home. Pictures should be posted by the end of the weekend.

Meghan and I are on pins and needles as we wait to see if the bank is going to approve us for the loan for this townhouse. My mom and I went to look at it a few days ago and we fell in love with it, so much that we went back the next day and looked at it for a second time. Of course at that point I really liked it so I wanted Meghan to come see it. Within the three hours that my mom and I looked at it a second time and that Meghan and I went to see it there were two of them sold (luckily not the ones that we wanted!). We are looking forward to finding out if we qualify for it and then from that point we will start planning what we will do from there!!! =)

Lucy is doing very well these days and is just as crazy as ever. She has discovered that she can jump very high and she REALLY wants to go outside. Here are some pictures of the model townhome and lucy.

Miss all of you in Washington!

Well it has been almost a month since we got our now crazy kitten Lucy. She is eating like a pig now and no longer sick so now we are seeing who she really is. There are a couple pictures on here that will give you a good idea of exactly what we have to deal with on a daily basis. All in all though we totally love her! On another note Brad came to visit us over the past week and it was a blast. Brad and I (AJ) spent a couple nights at the bar over 5 days and let me tell you I simply cannot drink like I used to. I certainly tried, but I was not successful in being a champ. Other than drinking we did go snowboard, which was my first time. Here is a picture of us at the top of the mountain at A Basin (12,000 Feet high) looking down onto my first insane hill to ride down. This was right before I took a spill into a out of bounds pole. In the other picture Brad is standing right in front of my first run on a snowboard, discounting my 30 second lesson at the bottom of the hill, which was through a bunch of trees. It was fun and I survived, but man I am so sore! Thats all for now.

Meghan's Christmas Present

We have a new kitten! Her name is Lucy (Meghan picked it) and she is an angora mix with her little shelter tattoo on the top of her head. We have had her for about a week now and it has been a really tough week for her. She has been to the hospital three times because she did not eat from Dec. 15th until Dec. 22nd. She was a sick little kitten and lost nearly 40% of her body weight in just 6 days! All is good now though because she is eating like a little pig because she is getting over her cold. She has such a great personality and loves things kittens dont usually like. She actually likes riding in the car!!! All is well here now. Meghan finished school and she got her grades, a 3.2 GPA. Although that is not a surprise for anyone except for her, we all know how hard she works and she has never failed a thing in her life. She is adjusting well to the lifestyle of school so life is pretty great here in the big CO.

AJ got a new car!

Here is the new Jeep Patriot with my old 4runner. I will certainly miss the 4runner but I am really happy with what I got. I cant believe I bought a new car and I will be paying for it entirely on my own. Its both very exciting and kind of scary! Other than that everything is all quiet on the front range!
